Tube blank piercing is the most important deformation process in the production of hot-rolled Seamless Pipe Oil and Gas. Its task is to pierce and roll solid tube blanks into hollow capillary tubes. According to the structure of the piercer and the deformation characteristics of the piercing process, the existing piercing methods can be divided into: cross-rolling piercing, push-rolling piercing and pressure piercing, and cross-rolling piercing is the most widely used. There are three types: roll type, fungus type (conical) and disc type. The roll piercer rolls are used in small rolling mills, while the large unit piercers use fungus rolls. Disc piercers are rarely used.
